Enrolments for JobKeeper 2.0 have now opened.
To be eligible for the initial 3 months of the scheme, a business’ turnover for the September ‘20 quarter (generally G1 on the Business Activity Statement) must have reduced by at least 30% compared to the September ’19 quarter.
There are alternate tests available for businesses where this is not a reasonable comparison (e.g. a new business, expanded business, drought).
Eligible businesses will receive the following payments for the 28 September 2020 to 3 January 2021 period (paid in arrears);
- $1,200 per fortnight for all eligible employees who were working in the business or not-for-profit for 20 hours or more a week on average in the 4 weeks of pay periods before 1 July 2020. This also applies to eligible business participants who were actively engaged in the business for 20 hours or more per week on average in the month of February 2020; and
- $750 per fortnight for other eligible employees and business participants.
Enrolments for the first 3 months of JobKeeper 2.0 close on the 31st of October.
